A Love Letter to my Clients

A Love Letter to my Clients

Hi!  I’m SO happy you are here!  Nothing (well, almost nothing) makes me happier than helping business owners experience the freedom and joy from having clean and solid financial information at their fingertips.  I’ve heard so many stories of incompetence and neglect that I don’t understand, because why would someone be in this business (of bookkeeping/accounting) if not to help business owners with their money?!  It is SO incredibly important to me that we care for our clients as if they were a part of us. That may sound contrived, but I promise you it’s not. As well as sound financial information, I am deeply passionate about the financial success of business owners.  When I see entrepreneurs struggle, I am heartbroken for them. I know how hard it is to run a business. I know how much of ourselves we put into our businesses.  And when that business, that piece of us, isn’t thriving we as humans aren’t thriving either.   So, when you came to me for help, and you accepted my heartfelt offer, as well as the investment into yourSELF, I couldn’t be more excited for you. But – here’s the thing – the BIG thing – deciding to Continue Reading »

Are you tired?

Are you tired?

Everyone is talking and advising and putting on the pressure to plan or to make resolutions.  There is so much of it that it’s getting tiresome. Equally tiresome is repeating the same actions, the same patterns, and the same year as the one before it. I know, because I’ve been there.   Here’s what I know for sure: that if your business isn’t profitable, it affects every single aspect of your life.  I repeat….. Every. Single. Aspect. Your business.  Your decisions. Your clients.  Your employees. Your partner. Your children.   And if you think your brave face is hiding it from them, I guarantee you are not.  I know, because I’ve been there too. But, here’s the thing — I’ve been on the receiving end of that stress and it’s no damn fun.  My father had his own business and he worked all the time, at home or elsewhere.  It wasn’t as profitable as it needed to be. We rarely saw him. If my dad thought he was putting on a brave front, or hiding the stress from the family, he was wrong.  Dead wrong. So, here’s my question: what do you want?   If the answer is that you want another unprofitable Continue Reading »

‘TIS THE SEASON…(to be budgeting)

‘TIS THE SEASON…(to be budgeting)

Unless your name is Santa Clause or Buddy from the movie Elf (“I love Christmas! Christmas is my favorite”), I’m sure turning a blind eye to the holidays has its appeal. Just pretend they aren’t around the corner! Especially when all the department stores are pushing for getting that perfect present and making every effort to sign you up for just one more credit card!                             The holiday season is supposed to be a joyous one and a time of being together. A season of giving. Not a “rat-race” in a parking lot, fighting over a spot that gets you 10 steps closer to the entrance. Nor is it supposed to be about breaking the bank or going into debt! If we could only get into the spirit of Christmas without all the crazy chaos, maybe we would be able to take a deep breath and relax throughout the holidays. Enjoy our loved ones, all of the festivities AND financial peace of mind. How do we do that? Well, I’m going to give you some tips that work for me!! It does require a little pre-planning, but I guarantee it will be worth it in the end! The trick to smooth Continue Reading »
