A Love Letter to my Clients

Hi! I’m SO happy you are here! Nothing (well, almost nothing) makes me happier than helping business owners experience the freedom and joy from having clean and solid financial information at their fingertips. I’ve heard so many stories of incompetence and neglect that I don’t understand, because why would someone be in this business (of bookkeeping/accounting) if not to help business owners with their money?! It is SO incredibly important to me that we care for our clients as if they were a part of us. That may sound contrived, but I promise you it’s not.

As well as sound financial information, I am deeply passionate about the financial success of business owners. When I see entrepreneurs struggle, I am heartbroken for them. I know how hard it is to run a business. I know how much of ourselves we put into our businesses. And when that business, that piece of us, isn’t thriving we as humans aren’t thriving either.

So, when you came to me for help, and you accepted my heartfelt offer, as well as the investment into yourSELF, I couldn’t be more excited for you.

But – here’s the thing – the BIG thing – deciding to work with us was only the first step. It’s a big one. But, the BIGGER step is the one where you take action – action toward fixing what hasn’t been working – this is the step that takes courage and brings change.

So, from me to your future self: When I finish up a meeting with you, where you stepped up, and you took ownership of the things that no longer work, and you took action toward the things that will make a difference in your business, and therefore your life, I walk away with SO much excitement and joy that I can hardly contain myself (this is where I’m doing a happy-dance). But please understand, it’s not because I created those changes. YOU created those changes. YOU stepped up. And now YOU are experiencing more joy and excitement in your business and in your life.

Lori Petersen has seen the frustration and loss that business owners experience when they don’t have command of their finances. Growing up, she watched her father work incredibly hard as a contractor. He’d come home late, eat the dinner kept warm in the oven, and do it all over again the next day. But it all came crashing down when he had to close the business and Lori’s family applied for food stamps. The business had failed and all of his hard work was for nothing.

Today, Lori views every one of her clients as an opportunity to make this right. She firmly believes no one should work as hard as her dad did and not have a profitable business. No family should suffer because business finances were poorly managed.
